Thomas O’Malley, the male protagonist of Disney’s 1970 animated feature The Aristocats, is a street cat who finds Duchess and the kittens completely lost. He takes it upon himself to bring them back to Paris and on the way shows the noble felines how life is outside of a mansion.

Thomas is a smooth-talking and cunning cat who enjoys his life of freedom outdoors, unencumbered by rules and responsibility, all of which changes when he meets Duchess for the first time. He falls in love with Duchess when he meets her and quickly begins to court and serenade her. Thomas almost instantly bonds with Duchess’s kittens and he becomes like a father to them.
